DHL Express Thailand supercharges its deliveries with electric motorcycles

Fifty electric motorcycles will soon travel across the streets of Bangkok delivering parcels for the logistics giant DHL Express Thailand.

The new additions to the firm's fleet come as a move to curb carbon dioxide emissions - it is expected to reduce emissions equivalent to planting 10,000 trees every year.

Developed by electromobility solutions provider Strom, electric motorcycles will be used for delivering small parcels and documents.

Herbert Vongpusanachai, Managing Director at DHL Express Thailand and Head of Indochina, said: “We are proud to be a leader in green logistics, and to be the very first international express delivery service provider in Thailand to use electric motorcycles for pick-up and delivery within the country.”

DHL has committed to cutting its logistics-related emissions by 2050.
