Less than half of Brits convinced climate change is real

A recent survey of 1,000 Brits revealed that only 49% are fully certain that climate change is real.

Italy (59%), Spain (57%) and Canada (52%) have more climate believers than the UK but Germany (48%), France (47%) and the USA (42%) have less.

Although less than half were convinced of it being a reality, 82% of UK respondents did agree the government should take some form of action to tackle climate change, with 60% stating it to be a matter of national security.

In addition, 55% of Brits did reveal their votes would be influenced by political parties’ and leaders’ position on renewable energy.

Dynata conducted the survey with a global panel of 11,000 respondents from 11 countries.
